Women on Weights is an 8 week programme designed to increase the number of
women engaging in resistance training
by introducing, demonstrating and
training women on a
variety of exercises designed to enhance the
participants’ overall strength, flexibility and
cardiovascular
health.
All women will meet in groups twice
a week, for
8 weeks at Bay Bodyfit Health & Fitness centre
with a personal trainer who
will guide and motivate each person throughout their
routine.
Here's
what you'll receive:
- Prior
to the first training session, you'll receive an initial
consultation with your trainer to discuss goals and go over
the initial programme. (Initial consultations is
approximately 1 hour.)
- 16
training sessions over 8 weeks.
- Each
session is 1 hour and includes 20
minutes cardio, 30 minutes resistance training, and 5-10 minutes
stretching. 5 of
the 10 participants will begin their session with cardio and
the other 5 will begin with resistance training. A cardio routine will be
written for each individual.
- An
individualized workout kept in a personal folder. Each folder contains a guide to
stretching, personal workout routine, exercise tips, nutrition
tips etc.
- Your exercise
programme will be updated every 6 routines.
- Pre
/ post skinfold and girth measurements (optional)

The women
on weights programme was excellent. I can definitely tell I gained
muscle, and my arms and legs are much more toned than before.
I really enjoyed the programme and Sara was a great motivating
factor for my workouts.
