Cacao is natures chocolate and has been revered as a superfood for thousands of years. It contains the highest concentration of antioxidants of any food in the world. This includes the antioxidant resveratrol which is associated with health and longevity. It is also one of the highest food sources of magnesium, a mineral that most people in the western world are deficient in.

Cacao aids digestion, improves circulation, normalises blood pressure, stimulates the kidneys, regulates bowel function and helps to alleviate PMS.

Cacao has a profound effect on the nervous system by dilating blood vessels and boosts serotonin levels which in turn can improve mood and combat depression.

Cacao can be added to desserts, smoothies and made as a hot chocolate to warm you up on those cold winter nights.

Whey protein

Most people don’t consume enough protein, a lack of which can result in muscle loss, unstable energy levels and fatigue.

Numerous studies show that whey protein can help you increase strength, preserve lean muscle tissue and lose body fat.

Whey protein helps to boost our master antioxidant, glutathione, which is essential for minimising free radical damage (whether from stress, pollution, toxins or otherwise) boosting our immune system and detoxifying our bodies.

Virgin coconut oil

Coconut oil is one of the healthiest foods you can consume. It has antibacterial, antimicrobial, antifungal and antiviral properties.

Other benefits include:

•Promoting heart health
•Promoting weight loss
•Supporting immunity
•Supporting a healthy metabolism
•Providing an immediate energy source
•Keeping skin healthy and youthful looking
•Supporting the proper functioning of your thyroid gland

Coconut oil is one of the few oils that is stable at high temperatures and is ideal for cooking with. Alternatively you can consume 1 to 2 tablespoons per day in its natural state or add to smoothies.

Organic turmeric powder

The active component of curcumin, a powerful anti inflammatory which also has antioxidant and anticancer properties.

India has the lowest rates of dementia in the world. What do they do differently? On average they consume 25 to 50 mg of turmeric daily which prevents inflammation of the brain. (Dr Sunil Pai, MD)

Turmeric can be added to curries, hummus, smoothies and hot drinks.

Nut butter (choose from almond, brazil or cashew)

Nut butters are a fantastic source of fats (the healthy kind) that benefit heart health.

Nut butters are also high in protein and fibre which leads to greater satiation. Not only will you feel fuller for longer you’ll balance your blood sugar levels, experience less cravings and have even energy levels throughout the day.

Combine with rice/ ryvita crackers or with carrot / celery sticks for a healthy, delicious morning or afternoon tea snack.

Organic Country Soup Mix

A dry soup mix of organic barley, peas and lentils for a handy, pantry staple that’s good for any occasion or recipe. Super versatile, it makes a great base for a delicious, satisfying dish simply by cooking in water or broth and adding your favourite vegetables and herbs.
